A proven classic with a new look!

The Craemer Group has adapted the technology and design of the 60- and 80-litre large wheelie bins (MGB type) to bring them in line with the rest of the MGBneo family. Drawing on proven components from the existing portfolio, the designers have combined them with sophisticated details and user-friendly handling, as well as a contemporary, functional design. Optimised wall thickness and integrated reinforcement in the lower body significantly enhance the bins' stability. Overall, the entire Craemer portfolio of containers now has a completely consistent appearance.

Craemer Commissions Wind Turbine

The Craemer Group, a specialist in metal forming, plastics processing and toolmaking, has commissioned its own wind turbine, underlining its commitment to a sustainable energy supply. With a hub height of 163 metres and an overall height of around 250 metres, the turbine is a prominent symbol of this transition and has been supplying green electricity to the company’s plastics injection moulding facility at the inter-municipal Aurea Industrial Park, close to the A2 motorway, since the beginning of the year. Craemer has now officially inaugurated the wind turbine in the presence of around 50 guests from politics and business, as well as business partners and employees.

No new plastic: Zero Virgin from used products

Demand for sustainable plastic pallets and containers is currently rising steadily. For consumers and companies that prioritise the circular economy and CO₂ reduction, using load carriers made from recyclate is vital. With its main plant in Herzebrock-Clarholz, the Craemer Group – one of the world’s leading manufacturers of plastic pallets and containers – now also produces a high-quality recyclate in-house, powered by renewable energy: Zero Virgin, recovered from used plastic products. This premium raw material is used in the company’s own load carrier production and is also marketed externally. To ensure a continuous supply of Zero Virgin, the family-owned company expanded its storage capacity at the Oelde plant in spring.

About the art of manoeuvring a 2500-tonne press through the eye of a needle

Our metal processing plant in Slovakia is located at the foot of the Lower Tatra Mountains, directly on the Váh River. The scenic location does, however, present us with challenges from time to time. The only paved access road to Craemer Slovakia s.r.o. leads over a narrow concrete bridge with limited load-bearing capacity: a bottleneck for the delivery of large presses such as our new 2500-tonne Schuler press with Twin-Servo technology and a table length of 8 metres (26 ft).

Carbon-neutral ARVZERO steel for the production of motor vehicle modules at Craemer

The German Craemer Group and the Italian steelmaker Acciaieria Arvedi recently signed a cooperation agreement. Craemer will produce steel components using certified carbon-neutral ARVZERO steel. The internationally active Craemer Group, headquartered in Herzebrock-Clarholz, Germany, with core businesses in metal forming, plastics processing, and toolmaking, supplies well-known automobile manufacturers and automotive suppliers, among others. Acciaieria Arvedi is part of the Arvedi Group which was founded in the early 1960s and is present in the field of carbon and stainless steel with hot and cold strip rolling mills, welded tubes, and precision strips. At its site in Cremona, Acciaieria Arvedi produces steel coils from recycled scrap for various applications, including the automotive industry.

Craemer Focuses on the Swedish Waste Bin Market

“Right now, we have a strong focus on the Swedish market when it comes to waste containers, as many companies are in great need of an environmentally friendly way to dispose of their waste. The goal is to meet the future and EU requirements for all different fractions to be sorted separately, a directive that will come into force on 1 January 2027. This will require a high number of waste containers and an additional supplier on the market,” says Henrik Mogensen, Sales Manager for the Swedish market at Craemer Nordic. “The first tender we won in Sweden was for as many as 70,000 containers. The market is showing a great interest in our products.”

Good wine thanks to hygienic pallet boxes from Craemer

Whether red or white wine – the winemaking family of a small winery in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, uses the Craemer CB3 High pallet box for their hand-picked “connoisseur wines” and sparkling wine from their own vineyards. Utilised since the fantastic grape harvest in autumn 2023, this large-volume grey plastic box has provided “reliable support for a smooth and gentle process”.
