Craemer manufactures stamped and formed parts as well as assemblies for seat systems, chassis and restraint systems. As a long-standing partner to the automotive industry, we draw on our experience in sheet metal forming to manufacture complex components using reliable processes. The focus is on component function and dimensional accuracy, as well as on a reliable supply of parts to our customers’ production facilities.

We have particular expertise in meeting requirements for strength, weight and further processing through coordinated manufacturing processes. We process high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels, as well as aluminium alloys with demanding forming requirements.

Our in-house toolmaking capabilities play a key role. We develop, manufacture and maintain complex progressive and transfer dies ourselves. The close integration of engineering, toolmaking and production enables short response times, long tool life and cost-effective manufacturing right from the start.

Craemer specialises in high-volume production for global platform projects, while also offering medium- and low-volume production. Automated manufacturing processes and integrated quality controls ensure a high degree of repeatability and consistent component quality – even when producing millions of units. We align production deliveries with our customers’ quality and logistics requirements.

Seat structure components

Seat structures are among the most complex components in a vehicle’s interior. They must withstand extreme forces in a crash while also reducing vehicle weight and fitting seamlessly into global platform strategies. As a long-standing partner to the automotive industry, we manufacture highly complex seat structure components that meet these requirements without compromise – using reliable, fully automated processes to manufacture millions of parts.

To achieve maximum stability while keeping weight to a minimum, we use state-of-the-art materials. We are experts in forming high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels, as well as aluminium alloys with demanding forming requirements. Thanks to our extensive materials expertise, we minimise springback and guarantee the tightest tolerances for every component.

Chassis components

Chassis components are crucial to driving safety and vehicle dynamics. They must withstand high mechanical loads while also meeting requirements for strength and weight. Limited installation space also calls for precise, complex component geometries.

Craemer specialises in the precise forming of high-strength steels, even in thicker gauges. We process high-strength to ultra-high-strength sheet steel and form it using reliable processes – for robust, weight-optimised chassis components.

Using modern tools and coordinated manufacturing strategies, we produce components with challenging radii and complex geometries with high precision in series production. The resulting components fit precisely into the limited installation space within the chassis.

Safety components

When it comes to safety-critical components in the vehicle interior, there is no room for error. Components such as seat belt guides must withstand extreme loads in a fraction of a second and function flawlessly throughout the vehicle’s entire service life.

As a long-standing automotive specialist, we manufacture high-precision safety parts not only as individual components but also as ready-to-install assemblies. From initial forming to final packaging, we bring all downstream processes together in a seamless, perfectly coordinated value chain. Our fully integrated manufacturing and assembly processes enable you to minimise transport distances, reduce logistics risks and benefit from complete traceability in accordance with IATF 16949. You receive a tested, ready-to-install functional unit for direct use on your production line.

Precision parts

Adjustment components, adaptors and brackets in the vehicle interior perform different functions: they enable precise, smooth movement or connect seat components to the vehicle structure. At the same time, they must meet requirements for low weight, precise geometries and load-bearing capacity – both in everyday use and in a crash.

Craemer manufactures precision parts with tight tolerances for manually and electrically adjustable seat systems as well as seat belt systems. With adjustment mechanisms, it is the precise interaction between the components that matters. Precise contours and guides support smooth adjustment and prevent unwanted play. We also produce complex locking elements and cam tracks for height adjustment through precision stamping and forming.

Backrest adaptors and seat mounting brackets must withstand high torques and tensile forces in a crash. We use high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels for these connecting components. This enables us to meet requirements for strength and low component weight while ensuring dimensional accuracy in manufacturing.
