Full-service sheet metal forming –

end-to-end expertise and precision

Every successful solution starts with an idea. As a full-service provider of sheet metal forming using transfer and progressive dies, we support you throughout the process – from concept development and tool design supported by 3D simulation through to full-scale production on state-of-the-art servo presses. Our high degree of vertical integration and modern technologies ensure maximum flexibility and reliability in meeting individual customer requirements.

  • Development and innovation are key pillars of our company. The demands in our sector are constantly changing – and Craemer is ideally equipped to meet them: with its own development and simulation department, in-house toolmaking, state-of-the-art production facilities and efficient logistics management. The people at all our sites play a particularly important role, with their knowledge and expertise making a key contribution to our success.

  • From the early stages of development, we ensure that the component geometry is manufacturable. Together with our customers, we develop components and take them through to series production. Our services include:
    + Deep drawing simulations
    + Development of manufacturable components
    + Springback analysis
+ Analysis of strain hardening and component thickness
    + Development of tooling concepts
    + Development of manufacturing processes

  • In our design department, we translate the results of component simulations into the optimum manufacturing method. We develop the best production concept for every component and every requirement. Drawing on our expertise and many years of experience serving the automotive supply industry, household appliance sector and other industries, we design high-quality transfer and progressive dies – tailored precisely to our customers’ requirements. We offer a comprehensive range of tool design services, including:
    + 3D designs
    + 2D drawings
    + Compact or modular design
+ Development of dies for high-volume, medium-volume and low-volume production
    + Cast-frame or plate-built construction
+ Design of fixtures for welding, clinching and other processes
+ Definition and optimisation of manufacturing processes

  • In our toolmaking department, we manufacture high-quality transfer and progressive dies up to 8 metres in length – based on the results of simulation and design. We ensure that the tooling we manufacture enables reliable production over the long term. We continuously draw on our extensive experience in metalworking and series production to refine our manufacturing concepts – ensuring consistently high component quality.

  • In our press shops, we manufacture components on state-of-the-art servo presses using transfer or progressive dies. Our machinery includes presses with press forces ranging from 3,150 to 25,000 kN and bed lengths ranging from 3,600 to 8,000 mm. We process materials with thicknesses ranging from 0.4 to 4.5 mm in various grades – including high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels (carbon-neutral steel available on request), galvanised steel, aluminium and stainless steel. Our production capabilities also include downstream processes such as metal active gas (MAG) welding, clinching and projection welding.

  • A secure and seamless supply chain is crucial to ensuring a smooth and efficient flow through to the delivery of components to our customers and their customers. Craemer offers an automated and transparent end-to-end process – from master data management through to production, logistics and delivery. Our internal logistics chain is automated and enables traceability down to the individual packaging unit. In this process, people and IT systems work hand in hand to meet our customers’ high standards at all times.

Technology & maintenance:

for maximum process reliability
Schuler press

We deliver on our promises: precision, quality and process reliability at every stage of metal forming and the series production of complex formed components. That is why Craemer relies on state-of-the-art press technology – ideal for the precise and cost-effective series production of even the most demanding metal components. Our equipment includes:

  • Presses with direct servo drives for optimal control and repeatability
  • Press forces ranging from 3,150 to 25,000 kN for a wide variety of forming tasks
  • Bed lengths of up to 8 metres for the production of large components

We continuously draw on our extensive experience in metalworking and series production to refine our manufacturing concepts – ensuring long-term process stability and consistently high component quality.

First-class maintenance and support for customer tooling are essential for trouble-free and efficient production. Craemer has its own specialist department, which maintains and repairs the tooling used in our production at agreed intervals.

Our maintenance team carries out preventive work on the tooling before signs of wear or damage become apparent. With on-site tooling maintenance available across all three shifts, we ensure short response times and maximum delivery reliability for our customers.

Materials & quality:

for precision metal forming
Metal coils

Craemer has always stood for the highest quality. We process metal coils and sheet metal blanks in a wide variety of alloys and thicknesses – tailored to meet your requirements for sheet metal forming and metalworking. Our range of materials includes:

  • Sheet steel and high-strength sheet steel for demanding forming processes
  • Stainless steel sheet for corrosion-resistant applications
  • Aluminium sheet for lightweight yet strong components

We process material thicknesses ranging from 0.4 to 4.5 mm in various grades, including ultra-high-strength steels and galvanised sheet. On request, we also offer carbon-neutral steel sourced in partnership with a renowned European steel manufacturer – in line with our commitment to a sustainable, carbon-neutral supply chain.

In addition to metal forming itself, our range of services also includes downstream processes such as MAG welding, clinching and projection welding – providing comprehensive, reliable single-source solutions for the manufacture of complex metal parts.
