New RFID supported fish box enables seamless tracking & tracing

By developing this new and innovative RFID supported, patent pending solution, the Craemer Group offers a new generation of fish box that will make process sequences throughout the entire transport and logistics chain simpler, faster and more transparent. The new “intelligent” fish box and the integrated RFID transponder enable companies operating within the supply chain to identify, track and trace information about fish, fishing grounds, quality and size of the catch. The collected information flows directly to the fish auction information system. This enables potential buyers to buy the fish before the trawler puts into harbour, thus saving time and ensuring the fish is taken faster to its destination. As a consequence, it is possible to transparently track the fish products throughout the entire process from its catching and auctioning to its final selling.

Particularly interesting: There is no need to buy the transponder when buying the new fish boxes; it is easy to retrofit the transponders to the new fish boxes at any time. In addition to the forward-looking technology, the new Craemer fish boxes offer an optimized drainage system that manages water drainage to the front side as well as an optimized base geometry for quick and easy drainage. Improved stackability and user-friendly handgrips make the Craemer fish box secure and strong by design.
