International orientation – regional roots
The Craemer Group is an internationally active family company specialised in metal forming, plastics processing and tool making. Their headquarters is the Paul Craemer GmbH founded in 1912 and located in the German town of Herzebrock-Clarholz. The group employs a staff of over 650, out of these around 500 at their headquarters, and achieved a total operating performance of around 180 million Euros in 2012.
Today, the group has five operating companies in Europe: the headquarters in Germany with production in all three business activities, a metal factory in the Slovakian town of Liptovský Mikuláš (Craemer Slovakia, s.r.o.), a plastics injection moulding plant in Telford (Craemer UK Ltd), an independent sales subsidiary for the plastics programme in the Paris metropolitan area (Craemer France Sarl) and a service company for the business activity of pooling (Craemer Logistic Services GmbH) at the German headquarters.
In metal forming Craemer develops, constructs and produces large-scale metal formed parts mainly for the automotive industry, in particular for the interior: primarily seat pans, but also components for back rests and doors as well as cross-bar beams. The focus of plastics processing lies in the development, production and marketing of plastic pallets, storage and transport containers as well as environmental systems of the Kliko® brand. In load carrier management Craemer supplies complete solutions to optimize logistics processes on the basis of radiofrequency identification, as for example the web-assisted pallet management system of the Palpool® brand. All the tools and moulds needed for production are made by Craemer’s own tool making facility in Germany. With the production of their entire product range the company ranks among the leading European producers and is also recognised as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high quality plastic pallets.
