Over recent years, plastic palettes have come into increasing use as load-carriers in the film industry. The handling of the film rolls has now been improved by the use of so-called multi-purpose plastic wedges. These multi-purpose wedges provide secure hold for the film rolls during transport and storage, with the accent on roll safety.

The Craemer Palette & Multi-purpose wedge solution will be presented for the first time at the FachPack Exhibition.

Function of the multi-purpose wedge:
The multi-purpose wedge has been specially developed for customers in the film industry by friedola TECH and Craemer. This retaining solution has been available in the past in the form of rubber feet, although this did not prove to be an acceptable solution in practice.

• The multi-purpose wedge has been developed specially for the CR1 and Euro H1 palettes.
• The wedges come in a short version with a length of the 470 mm, and in a long version of 1110 mm. Both versions are suitable for use with the Euro H1 and the CR1 palette.
• The so-called retaining lugs on the underside of the wedge are pressed into the openings on the upper surface of the palettes. The wedges are retained very securely.
• The distance of the wedges from each other can be adjusted thanks to the asymmetrical arrangement of the retaining lugs: turning the wedges by 180° offers even greater flexibility for securing film rolls of other sizes, see enclosed photographs.
• The wedges are manufactured from recycled PP. 

Overall impression: The solution makes a convincing and neat impression, making an excellent addition to the Craemer palette range.
